We had the pleasure of staying at the iconic Charleston Place in the heart of Charleston, SC. Let me tell you, WOW, this place is a gem waiting to be discovered!
Whether you’re seeking a historical adventure, culinary delights, a serene getaway, or you're local, like us, and looking for a relaxing or romantic weekend...The Charleston Place is the ultimate destination. Let’s dive into what made our stay truly unforgettable.
From the moment you enter their main lobby you are surrounded by beauty and elegance! Here, you are greeted warmly by staff as you take in the grand staircase that flows around a stunning chandelier and breathtaking arrangement of fresh flowers. The main level of The Charleston Place invites you to stroll through many shops and restaurants, and then encourages you to unwind and sip a beverage in their garden area.
Club Level Life
We opted for the Club Level at The Charleston Place, and it was totally worth it! Here's a brief rundown of what made The Charleston Place such a delightful experience:

- Being a Club Level guest means having access to the tranquil and exclusive Club Lounge. Here you are greeted with warmth and exceptional service from the moment you stepped in. Club Level is on the 7th and 8th floors and offers a wonderful view of the city.

- Traditional Afternoon Tea
- Premium Hors d'oeuvres & Cocktails
- After Dinner Desserts & Digestifs
- Delicious Delights: Whether you are in Club Level and enjoy its buffet (included) or you venture down to the ever popular Palmetto Cafe (extra), located by the main lobby, your mornings start with a scrumptious breakfast. Throughout the day you can indulge in delicious hors d'oeuvres, with snacks and beverages readily available and then an evening nightcap at the Thoroughbred Club a generous selection of wines and spirits? Depending on your room category, some of this maybe included, and some will be available on the main level. 🍷
- Sophisticated Accommodations: As you swipe your keycard you enter a room that offers a place to relax and unwind...soft carpets, relaxing gray tones, a sitting area to relax and put your feet up...And then there is the king size bed with sheets that are so soft you will never want to leave. The Charleston Place has thought of everything with these rooms, from bedside light controls for the complete suite to a generous supply of water in plastic free containers (thanks for caring about the environment)!
