From the moment we set foot onto the sumptuous grounds of Sandals Royal Plantation at the tail end of February, the air was abuzz with indulgence. This five-star, 74 room butler level, all ocean view resort, promised an escape not just from the ordinary, but into the extraordinary—and oh, did it deliver on every front!

Service Like No Other
Three nights may seem fleeting, but the impressions left by Sandals Royal Plantation will dance in our memories for a lifetime making this our favorite resort to date❣️ Every staff member we encountered exuded warmth and went above and beyond. Their genuine smiles were as inviting as the Jamaican sun. We were so impressed by their level of service; it’s no wonder guests become loyal devotees, returning to this slice of paradise annually (many of them over 15 times).

Butler Excellence – Richard & Duwainey
Our butlers, Richard & Duwainey, redefined the concept of ‘attention to detail’. 👏These gentlemen were artists who created moments of sheer beauty and relaxation, from arranging flowered bubble baths to serving succulent lobster lunches on the shimmering beach. Their role in setting up our excursions and dinner reservations was nothing short of impeccable. We enjoyed a snorkeling excursion as well as a trip to Dunn’s River Falls (we will talk about this later). We experienced the luxury that Sandals is known for across their entire brand, all thanks to their thoughtful planning.💫

Amazing Five-Star
Sandals Royal Plantation’s luxuries were visible throughout our stay. We dined with cloth linens, lounged in padded chairs, and savored mesmerizing views that could rival any painting in a gallery (check out the pics👇). Our fully stocked mini-bars offered refreshments that complemented the spirited Jamaican zest for life including the very tasty Appleton Rum.🍹
Let’s talk about beach pampering, shall we? Before we could even think ‘refreshment’, our amazing Beach Valet was at our side with our favorite drinks in hand! How’s that for knowing their guests?

The Resort Overall

• Lets start with our room: a large 4 poster bed, dark mahogany tones set against light floors and walls and a step down into a sitting area with a fully stocked bar and marvelous views of the ocean.
• The Beach: there are two beach areas, both offering amazing views and access into the warm, clear waters. With lots of beach chairs and umbrellas we never missed a chance to lounge by the ocean.
• Pool & Hot Tubs: The pool is on the mid level along with one of the hot tubs and the second hot tub is just a few steps up on a higher level. The pool offers many chairs, and a great place to cool off if you are a pool person. The hot tubs – WOW – they are hot, like 104°ish! We were really impressed by this as we love a HOT tub and not a swirling pool of water.
• The small touches: Apples or Cookies? I love that at Sandals, anytime of the day we have a choice between grabbing an apple or a fresh chocolate chip or oatmeal cookie found throughout the resort! The chairs throughout are placed in such a way that regardless of where you sit you have an amazing view. The resort is always kept clean – no pools of water, sand piles or empty cups laying around.

As we bid our goodbyes, what stayed with us was not just the tangible luxuries, but the feeling of being truly treasured, the ability to completely unwind and relax and to take that time to just enjoy.
